NYLON JAIL [CZ]
Nylon Jail has captivated the Czech club scene with their grungy combination of indie rock, electronica, and country.
Guitarist Roman Vičík and singer Jiří Jirák have been Nylon Jail since 2011 when they uploaded their first demo to SoundCloud. They were then named Newcomer of the Year at the Vinyla awards and were a hit at a number of Czech music festivals. The Olomouc-based group that combines electronica with rock and country emphasizes that it doesn’t belong in any one musical genre. The band returned to the stage last year after a two-year hiatus, saying it’s now playing a harder, more unique music than before. The duo invited musicians from OTK, Priessnitz, and Muff to collaborate on their last record, as well as a children’s choir. The band exudes the image of authentic rockers that rose to be stars on the alternative club scene.
