Metronome Festival Prague’s second main stage will be the venue for several of the big names at this year’s event. This includes Scotland’s psychedelic legends Primal Scream. The group was among the first to fuse traditional rock and electronic dance music on their now-seminal albums, especially Screamadelica, which went on to become one of the most significant albums of the 1990s. They will perform a specially-prepared set that will be a survey of their best work from the last 30 years. Guitar virtuoso, singer, and talented songwriter Anna Calvi is one of the most talked-about British artists working today. Her albums have been critical and commercial hits and her very personal style is complemented by a number of collaborators; including David Byrne, who was one of the headliners of the same stage at last year’s Metronome Festival Prague.

Belgian hip hop duo Blackwave will also appear on the Park Stage, as will original Slovak singer-songwriter Katarzie, whose latest album Antigona was a major event on the Czech and Slovak scenes. Legendary Czech cult band Pražský výběr will perform its unique Prague set on the Park Stage. One of the most popular Czech bands ever will play its only open-air concert of the year and has invited a number of guests to help celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Velvet Revolution and the fall of communism that will be commemorated at this year’s festival.
