From alternative rock and post-punk to melancholic electronica and joyful mellow pop too. We are happy to announce new artists Moimir Papalescu & The Nihilists, Kafka Band, Berenika Kohoutová and Lenny to our diverse local section that has a lot to offer. Are you a stranger to these names? Let’s take a closer look on them and see what the fuss is about! 

Moimir Papalescu & The Nihilists is a rebel band that has gained a fenomenal success both within club scene and music critiques back in 00s. This year they announce their big comeback after 13 years with new album so their concert at our festival is going to be quite a special occasion. Their performance is typical for their alternative electronic sound influenced by post-punk and rock and intelligent provocative approach. Kafka Band is another electronic project mixing together literature by key local artists. Together they create special melancholic sound that draw us into the world inspired by Franz Kafka novels. Their newest album and performance are based on his novel Amerika.

Now, let’s slide into something little different. Berenika Kohoutová is popular Czech singer that broke down her pop success when her hit about handstands in a bar when she gets bored went viral on the internet. She overflows with energy and it definitely shows when she is on the stage. Right now, she tours with her new album that mainly represent a funny and authentic view on relationships. Second pop representative is magical Lenny. There are only a few people who don’t ten to start dancing when song Hell.o by magical Lenny starts playing.  At the moment, we are all inpatient for her to finally drop her second album but in a meanwhile, you can listen to the first one, Hearts, that gained number of music awards.
